Doctor Who Filming!!

Fri Oct 9, 2009, 7:52 AM
Hello there good people!

Ok, so last Wednesday (7th October 2009) I was over at my university doing a photoshoot for them. Doctor Who was ALSO filming about 10 minutes walk from there, so, I decided to pop along even though it was freezing and chuckin' it down with rain!

So, I took a few pictures. They didn't turn out nice and sharp as I was using my 300mm telephoto lens and i was zoomed in most of the way, which it was difficult to steady in the freezing cold..with rain...and whilst trying to balance an umbrella in my hand all at the same time! It's tricky trying to zoom in and focus whilst holding an umbrella haha

Anyway, the scene I saw... **SPOILER ALERT** was was where Matt Smith (11th doctor) was holding up his screwdriver (wearing tennants gear) and it was sparking/blowing up. He drops the screwdriver to the ground. He then gets on his hands on knees and starts shouting at it saying "NO NO!!! Don't do that!!" and he was banging his hands on the ground... I think he'll make a cool doctor! Oh also, another spoiler, the TARDIS blows up too..yep..its true.. :P I know too many spoilers...thats like 5% of them haha

Anyway, I'll try and post some pictures later, but please dont expect super sharp images! Even the ones taken by the big pros with MASSIVE lenses (the size of my head) didn't get brilliant shots in my opinion lol

Thanks!! It wasn't that difficult. I just walked up and down the one side of the court taking loads of photos hoping that one or two might come out lol I got quite a few decent ones though :) All 3 of my compact flash cards corrupted though...good job I brought my old camera along with me as well! Luckily it wasnt until near the end that happened though!

lol you better get busy processing those Italy photos! Im sure you have some great shots which would be awesome to see :)

but thers a problems about selfportrait, my camra its pretty random (and me too) it could be the greatst picture, but most of the time it takes photos that makes me looks weird, and ot only me, everybody says that, for example , in some photos looks like i have a huge nose and a tiny mouth D:

lol it might just be the angle. I think the best height for a camera to be is chest level. It does something to the eyes lol From what i've seen you are an extremely attractive girl, so you shouldnt be worrying about not looking right in photos :)

Lucky duck! Seeing Matt Smith as the Doc before we do! A question: you get the spoilers from the set or from a forum?...doctorwhoforums is now gone, I used to get mine from there.
