As some of you know I went to Paris last week and overall had a really good time. I have shots from the following places (and more inbetween the places lol)
The Eiffel Tower (day/night shots)
The Arc De Triomphe (day/night shots)
Versailles (day shots)
The Lourve (day/night shots)
Bastille day (shots from balcony of eiffel and fireworks..which are rare from this view!)
Moulin Rouge (day shots)
Sacre Coeur (day shots)
Les Invalides (Napoleons tomb)
Notre Dame Cathedral
I think you get the idea.
*LARGE REVIEW IN MORE DETAIL*
HOTEL/BASTILLE DAY: The hotel was about a 5-10 minute walk from the eiffel tower. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony which could see almost all of the eiffel tower (awesomeness). This was excellent for night shots of the firework display on Batille day (french celebration).
THE LOURVE: When photographing the lourve at night it was FREEZING! It had been warm all week until that one day when I decided to stay out late until it got dark (around 11pm), so we were sat outside the lourve for about 2-3 hours whilst it rained and it just felt like we were in the north pole!!
ARC DE TRIOMPHE: Got some cool shots of the Arc de triomphe with the eiffel tower in the distance. It was thundering and lightning when doing the shots (but nice and warm), and as soon as i packed up, it started to rain. On the way back to the underground metro station, a HUGE gust of wind out of nowhere blew tons of rubbish and dust across the streets. It was so strong it was enough to move me. Best way to describe it was like a shock wave from a bomb (there was no bomb though...luckily, just a random huge gust of wind from out of nowhere!!) lol
Sacre Coeur shots were ruined by a guy playing Oasis songs and a massive crowd around him, but i managed to get some okish ones.
Moulin Rouge was decent for shots, no real problems. Notre dame was dark inside but i hopefully got some decent shots, but i'll have to wait and see. Got some decent shots of the gardens at versailles and some good shots of the cathedral where Napoleon is burried.
The Eiffel Tower: I originally wanted Infrared shots, but Bastille day ruined it. The huge green grass area was totally ruined. It was a sandy yellow with dusty mud all over it. The area was full of tents and railings, so the view was totally ruined from the main viewing side. However, after a going to the opposite side of the river saine, I managed to get some really good night/day shots, but no infrared unfortunatly

But the shots are really nice, you'll love them!!

Appologies for the long journal, hope you enjoyed reading it (if you did), and hope you look forward to the shots in the next few days/weeks.
